Introduction
------------
It cannot have failed to escape your attention that Acorn have recently been
developing a new web browser. The main advantages of this over ArcWeb are
that is it is much faster, and supports frames, tables and animated GIFs to
a greater extent. The down side is that all your old Bookmarks files will be
useless with Browse.
This is where Bookmarks comes in. It will take your ArcWeb bookmarks
directory, process it, and output an HTML hotlist suitable for Browse.
This program is also suitable for converting Bookmarks created using
Argonet's WebVoyage browser. Output bookmarks files can be used with
VoyBrowse.
Requirements
------------
RISC OS 3.1 and a copy of the new universal !Boot sequence.
Step-by-step
------------
Run Browse and then quit. This ensures that directories, etc. are set up.
Run Bookmarks. It will stick an icon on the icon bar.
Hunt around inside ArcWeb's cache for the Bookmarks directory. Drag the whole
directory (not the individual files) to the icon. A window will pop up.
Select either VoyBrowse or Browse and click OK. Note that this will overwrite
your existing BookMarks file if you have one. It may be better to select
'Other' and drag the Bookmarks file to a suitable place, before using the
merge feature to incorporate these into Browse's hotlist.
